Who is Medungi?
Medungi is a community-based organization established in 2011 by Salaton Ole Ntutu and fellow community leaders. The vision of the organization is to work with Maasai communities to adopt lifestyles that are friendly to the environment and to engage in development and economic activities that secure their livelihoods and preserve culture.
Meaningful Goals
Since 2011 the foundation has been committed to influencing change in the following areas:
CONSERVATION
Protecting nature through sustainable development, reforestation, wildlife protection, and sustainable practices for livestock and agriculture.
CULTURE
Strengthening the connection of respect for nature and it’s connection to culture and world peace through community awareness and training, and international speaking engagements.
HEALTH
Supporting healthy families in their natural, traditional environments with medical support, sustainable use of local herbs and healing, and education on health, nutrition, hygiene and sanitation.
Volunteer programs are in place to support these efforts, offering an exciting combination of tourism, conservation, education, community and cultural experiences.
